The second phase extension Viaduct of Meilan International Airport in Haikou canopy membrane structure project 

This project is a typical skeleton supported membrane structure, with a rectangular plane of 324m in length and 15.588m in width. The maximum elevation of the membrane boundary is 6.3m. The whole project is divided into 18 units, the surrounding boundary is rectangular tube, and the middle of each unit is a bundle column composed of six rectangular rods£¬ The bundle column extends beams to support the surrounding boundary, and topological connecting rods are arranged between these beams to form a triangle£¬The outer part of these units is PTFE membrane, while the beam column is surrounded by two layers of hexagonal ETFE transparent membrane£¬All those transparent membrane elements are supported by steel cables so that each membrane unit has the shape of inverted umbrella.
